Phew!!. . At least that’s over and done with. . .Over the past week or so its like ave been having this little cloud hanging over my head raining complete with thunderstorms.
Today did a paper that’s been causing me misery for long enough and I can confidently say it “Bent Over” . .Anyhoo. . Exams have to be my least favourite thing in school and am yet to find anyone who likes them. . .Am pretty sure they exist, ave seen enough strange people to know that.
Right from nursery where I struggled to shape my letters correctly to no avail thereby earning my dog eared exercise book the tag “Door mat ya kuku” . I was of course not worried since we all knew doctors have horrible handwritings. . so I was safe. .
In primary, I found the love of my schooling Life, Science (NOT Home science). I could name all the planets in reverse and their moons and tell you what their atmospheres were composed of, I learnt about supermagnetism and superconductivity and how to make an object levitate with just a couple of magnets. But alas you dont get to pick one subject and study it to its bone. Aside from knowing that a lever is a simple machine you also need to know how to play with surds. Things didn’t get better high school what with using new things like log tables…
I particularly despised Math and Kiswahili probably because 3/4 of the time I didn’t understand what the dude or dudette infront of the class was trying to ram into our minds. . .I still don’t know what “mkufuu mwanafuu ha, na aki Hu” means.
Now more than ever have to embrace Math because in it and around it are the things I like to do. . . But gratefully dropped Swahili as a scholarly pursuit.
Now to kick up My old bucket of a P4 and kill some alien hordes on Halo. . .
