Windows 7 RC

Just finished downloading and installing the latest Windows 7 Release Candidate from our pals at Redmond. . . . . the setup screen/interface is pretty and is a nice guise for u to think everything is honkydorry till u pop the hood. . . ..
Dont get me wrong. .. .they ave done a nice job of it but I tend to find its less compatible with my Machine than the Beta. . . .. .Maybe its because I upgraded from Windows Vista Ultimate. . . . .Or maybe its just my pc thats ancient. . .. or I may have a conficker or backdoor trojan variant helping out wherever it can. . . . .I dont know but am not that impressed. . . . . .well the license gives me a year to tinker around and thats all the time I needed Anyway. . . . Also not all softwares install immediately and seamlessly as was the case with the beta. . . . . .Improvement or too many cooks at the soup???

Windows 7 RC

Back when vista was recieving so much flak for being slow, annoying and high maintainance.. . was when I first heard of windows 7 development and got afew screenshots from some Indian guy. . . .One of the pictures was an error dialog box that said that it was the last error box to be experienced on windows. . . . . .I laughed at the Herculian task the coders at Redmond had assigned themselves what with akina conficker n badly made hardware/drivers being around. . . ..
I may however have to slightly swallow my words on this one. . . . . .
The Windows 7 Beta was exceptionally built and worked perfectly with all my hardware. . . .. (And I change hardware a lot. . . ) Haven’t had the chance to try out the RC but am guessing it will be more refined and have better compatibility / better user intuition. . . .
Am thinking all Operating Systems should be built like Nokia phones . . . .All they need is common sense to operate. . not hidding functions in a labrynth of commands and I think Vista and more recently Windows 7 does exactly that. . . . .
Furthermore it shows that public pressure can actually bend the Giants. . . .Microsoft tried to force Vista down the computing worlds throats and failed miserably. . . .I think Windows 7 is there way of saying sorry n trying to make up. . . . .

Linux . . . . .

I have been a predominantly Windows user and am right now using a windows based machine to write/key this. . . . .I am however very experimental in nature and thus have tried everything from betas to mac os X to Linux. . . . .The most unfortunate/(or fortunate) thing ave noticed is that all of them seem to have a windows blueprint. . . . they all have “windows” , similar filing system, a desktop, keyboard mouse, drag drop, copy paste. . . . .that kind of thing. . . . Linux in my view is just reverse engineered windows . . or is it the other way around??. . . .
